Wow -- I just came across the most insane duet of Ray Lamontagne and Damien Rice. Ray Lamontagne's voice is insane. It just makes me like him more.

Good Song

They're Bloggies In Disguise!
After taking a spill on a longboard Monday, I'm feeling less than stellar. Scraped-up foot and knee, bruised in various places, with an arm I can't raise higher than my shoulder, I'm thinking that the only thing I want to do right now is limit my range of motion. The tappity-tap of the keyboard will hopefully soothe my bruised ego.
On Monday, we went and watched our guy friends' softball game at Rolland Moore park -- they were something like 6-0, completely defeated. They ended up beating the other team they were playing, who were also defeated, and decided to buy a keg. Needless to say, I was one hungover little intern yesterday.
(Even though I totally bashed it in my blog last week, I cannot stop listening to Kanye's new song. Oops.)
This little gem is something David sent me yesterday. It's the unrated trailer for Superbad. Watch out -- peeing your pants, although likely, isn't something someone your age should do.
I am absoloutely in love with Judd Apatow for bringing the "anti-hero" back to the screen. Sure, I like me some man-candy, but I cannot stand people that don't have anything interesting to say, even if they're reading and reciting someone else's words. Having people like Seth Rogan or Michael Cera in a leading role is a movie geek's dream. I just wish that there were "anti-hot" chicks onscreen right now too. Sarah Silverman doesn't count. She's so annoying that she makes my eyes bleed.
As a random added bonus, here's "Panama" by Van Halen -- the song that plays at the end of the trailer. I couldn't get it out of my head yesterday, so I figured if you couldn't either, you could listen to it 'til the end and hopefully not be singing "Panamaaaahaaahhh" as you brush your teeth tonight.
I wrote on Monday about Avril Lavigne's purported song theft -- yesterday, a combination of a song by a chick named Peaches and one of Avril's songs popped up on the internets. I mean, if you're going to write shitty pop music, at least write your own damn songs! Listen for yourself.
Here's another song by Jack Penate, "Torn From the Platform". I know this post is video-heavy, but this is just a damn good song. I love his british rockabilly style.
Is it wrong that I really, really want to see I Know Who Killed Me with Lindsay Lohan? And that I think it actually looks good, in a mindless kind of way?
Caroline and I saw Transformers last night -- it. was. AWESOME. There were just so many ridiculous parts -- the fx were awesome, but the best part about it was that the creators didn't take themselves or the movie too seriously. I laughed for an innappropriately long time when one of them was like, "what's crackin', bitches?!"
However, I think it comes out in January. Boo.
Stereogum made an insane tribute to Ok Computer -- there are some quality covers on there.
And then there was the Chihuahua that was born with a perfect heart-shaped patch of hair on its back. Go ahead. Squeal. No one's around.
