Happy 2000?!

I'm sure most of you don't have a Blogger account, but if you did, you would know that there were some major changes. All mostly good because it's easier to use the Blogger system now. However, I seem to be having an epic battle with my hit counter. I don't want to get a new one, however, this one won't even fit into the html and count the hits I receive, so I'm a wee bit pissed. However, at last count -- a little over a week ago -- I had 1,951 hits. Add that to the 43 hits from when I mistakenly put a different counter on my site, and you've got...

Over 2000 views!!!!!!!

Cue the trumpets and confetti. That's gotta mean that...
You like me. You really like me.

Oh! This is something I intended to post forever ago when we were getting a lot of snow, but it got lost in my email inbox because of the ridiculous bombardment of Facebook updates. These are pictures of the last time that Colorado got as much snow as we did -- in 1913. It's awesome to look at these pictures and see how things have changed.

I bitch about not having internet sometimes, but I couldn't imagine having that much snow and having to heat up your creaky old mansion.

I've been messing with RSS feeds lately -- it takes a lot of the searchwork out of going to your favorite sites. Plus, you don't get the ads on the top, bottom, and sides, which is nice.

I was reading an article this morning that piqued my interest. I used to post a lot about celebrities on my blog, which was entertaining and all, but one can only write so much about the same people doing the same things. Sure -- if it's noteworthy I'll blog about it, but I've seemed to gravitate away from doins so lately. Anyways, in this article, the author talked about the power and allure of celebrity; how people spend their lives and their money trying to make it big. "In [the article] Halpern cites studies that suggest fame is a factor in other animal groups as well. In one study rhesus monkeys were willing to give up their food simply to stare at a dominant monkey." Weird, eh? It's just funny how obsessed people (even me) get with celebrity. I've found it interesting how "serious news networks" like CNN have been covering Anne Nicole Smith's death so intensely. She's dead, and there are like, 5 potential fathers of her child, I get it. Iguess people want to escape from the more serious news and decide to latch onto people like Anna Nicole.

If you sneeze in your cubicle, and no one's around to hear it, did it really happen?

This is hilarious. If you've ever seen Shutterbugs with Rob Huebel (the guy from Best Week Ever), you'll love this MindFreak parody. The end is the best...

Ahahahahahahahahh! This one is even better. If you skipped that one, (screw you) then watch this one. It's hilarious -- it talks about music bloggers, Pitchfork Media, and it even has Ted Leo in it -- big time.

"I don't wanna talk about Hambone."

I think that's all I've got -- have a good Monday everyone.
