You're So Naive, Yeah...

So. For the past few days, I haven't been writing. And it's not because I don't love the Good Bloggie, it's because I've been busy. To quote a recent Facebook message between me and Little (1):

"Regarding Good Bloggie, I'm glad that you said something because I'd been considering letting you know that it was growing a little stagnant. It needs more "Whitneyisms" videos aren't bad but I want to read you adding hilarious comments. I think the personal stuff isn't a bad idea, and also what happened to your stuff about celebrities? Not so much Paris, Lindsay, Britney stuff but better stuff that I know you are reading. Like did you know that Stefanie from Full House got GIANT implants? And did you know that Topanga lost a ton of weight and is going to appear in commercials next month for some weight loss food thing? Really the bottom line is that you just need more cowbell.

i still check it everyday so don't think that i don't still love GB, she just needs a little facelift. I didn't watch the Kanye video, I like the song though, I also really like the song he did with Johnny May. I'm curious to see what he does with "Young Folks" "

And my reply....

"I dunno what it is -- half of it is that I blog at work, and I feel guilty, so I just don't write as much length-wise as I could. The other part is that I read so many celebrity/pop culture/gossip blogs that by the time I get down to writing in my own it seems like old news to me.
Listen to the Kanye/Daft Punk song. As much as Kanye is a pompous asshole, it's pretty solid. Plus, it looks like he dropped like a million dollars on his video, which doesn't even feature him as much as I'm sure he'd like. "

Anyhoo, this blog post only serves to make sure your faith in GB doesn't wane. I know that I've only been posting YouTube videos, but they're YT videos with a purpose. I'm only here to make sure you can stand around in a group of your friends, saying, "yeah, I saw that "blankity blank something or other" on Hammer Time's blog like, a week and a half ago." It's literally a public service. This, my friends, is why I post "you're welcome" after the most especially awesome posts. Because seriously, darlings... who else in Fort Collins is going to inform you like I do?

To quote the Tegan & Sara song I'm currently obsessed with, "nobody, nobody, nobody!"

In other news, it's desperately late, and incredibly untimely, but the Amy Winehouse album is quality. Qual, qual, qual. 50's-60's music (literally the only thing that helped me get through my parent's divorce, personal tidbit, ask me about it later) is the new "it". I had a really awesome example, but I forget. Because I'm drunk. There was this awesome MP3 that I had, but I can't post it, because I don't really feel like being arrested... but it's called "B Boy Baby" by Muyta Beuna ft. Amy Winehouse... hype machine search it, it's worth it.

I'm going to devote the rest of this night to playing The Kooks' "Naive" on my guitar all by myself. Because that sounds like a fucking awesome idea. And if you haven't heard the song, which is all sorts of outdated by blogger standards, then do it. It's below you... in my blog. Ahem.

I just don't know what I'd do if I couldn't write. Go crazy, maybe?

In that vein, I'm going to go listen to the Go! Team. Another band, who, when faced with most of the people I hang out with, would scoff and go back to their mixers.

I fucking love you.
Good Bloggie loves you.
